พระยานรรัตนราชมานิต มีนามเดิมว่า ตรึก จินตยานนท์ นามสกุลพระราชทานจากพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว เป็นบุตรของพระนรราชภักดี ตรอง จินตยานนท์ ภายหลังบวชเป็นพระภิกษุ ฉายา สทฺธมฺมวิจา  เจ้าคุณนรรัตนฯ สาเร็จการศึกษาจากโรงเรียนข้าราชการพลเรือนที่หอวัง ซึ่งต่อมาได้ กลายเป็นจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เมื่อเรียนสาเร็จแล้วก็ต้องไปรับราชการในกรมมหาดเล็ก เพื่อศึกษาราชการตามระเบียบ ก่อนที่จะ  2025年5月22日 เจ้าคุณนรฯ เป็นพระสงฆ์ที่มักน้อยสันโดษ ถือวัตรปฏิบัติอย่างเคร่งครัด ฉันอาหารวันละมื้อ ไม่ใช้ไฟฟ้าและน้ำประปาในกุฏิ ท่านว่าธรรมชาติให้มาอย่างเพียงพอแล้ว ทั้งน้ำฝน และแสงแดด เมื่อหมดแส  2022年9月13日 ท่านเจ้าคุณนรฯ ก่อนอุปสมบทเป็นพระภิกษุ รับราชการหลายตำแหน่ง เป็นที่ไว้วางพระราชหฤทัยของ พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ ๖ เป็นอย่างยิ่ง จนได้รับการโปรดเกล้าฯ  นามเดิม ตรึก จินตยานนท์ กำเนิด 5 ก พ 2440 สถานที่เกิด กรุงเทพมหานคร อุปสมบท ณ วัดเทพศิรินทราวาส กรุงเทพมหานคร เมื่อวันที่ 24 มี ค 2468 โดยมี สมเด็จพระพุทธโฆษาจารย์ ญาณวรมหา
